HBU (15-13, 7-6 SLC) is looking to bounce back from a 3-1 loss at Southland Conference leader Texas A&M – Corpus Christi on Tuesday. However, the task at hand gets no easier with their next opponent, as the Huskies face the second place Sugar Bears, who are 10-2 in league play and 14-10 overall.

Jessica Wooten was tied for 19th in the nation with 40 service aces and 39th overall with an average of 0.40 aces per set. The native of Humble, Texas, currently ranks sixth in the SLC with 3.23 kills per set and second on the team with 2.76 digs per set. Junior libero
Melissa Fuchs leads the back row with 3.12 digs per set on the season, ranking fifth in the league in conference-only matches with a 4.24 set average.
In conference play, Doerpinghaus leads the SLC in blocks, averaging 1.29 per set, and ranks fourth in hitting percentage at a .347 clip. On the season, she sits third in the SLC with 1.09 blocks per set and fifth with a .326 hitting percentage.
Junior setter
Kayla Armer averages 9.90 assists per set on the season, ranking third in the conference.
As a team, HBU is third in the Southland in blocks (2.17 per set) and fifth in both hitting percentage (.205) and opponent hitting percentage (.195).
UCA enters Thursday's match leading the conference in kills (2.42 per set), also ranking second in opponent hitting percentage (.168) and third in hitting percentage (.217). Senior outside hitter Heather Schnars is the SLC leader in kills (4.22 per set) and service aces (0.62 per set), while sophomore outside hitter Magan Nash holds the top mark with 1.29 blocks per set.
Following Thursday's match, the Huskies will close the regular season with visits to Lamar (Nov. 12) and Sam Houston State (Nov. 14).
