Postgame Quotes – Head Coach Trent Herman
Overview of match…"It was a little bit of a shaky start, but we found our footing. It's always really difficult to play a non-conference match in the heart of your conference season, because we are so locked in to what we need to do. Once we got into a rhythm though, we were fine."
On Sophie Zielinski's performance and team's offense…"We've been waiting for her to break through all year, being a freshman. She's just been really working hard every day in practice and earning her playing time. The last few matches she's stepped up and done a nice job.
"Overall, we were really balanced offense tonight with multiple girls stepping up at different points."
On upcoming conference matches over the next few days…"It is going to be really important for us to do finish out this homestand strong. We have two teams in Sam Houston State and Lamar that are looking to do the same thing we are, make a late push for a good seed in the conference tournament."
