HOUSTON - HBU will host Hillsdale Baptist in the Huskies' home opener Monday at 7 p.m. at Sharp Gym. The Legacy Sports Network audio broadcast with Lonnie King begins at 6:45 p.m. on HBUHuskies.com.

The Huskies (0-1) dropped a close 65-58 decision on the road to Northwestern in the season-opener Friday night. Senior center Ricmonds Vilde recorded a double-double, with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while junior guard Anthony Odunsi also scored 13 and senior guard Marcel Smith chipped in 11 off the bench.

Hillsdale Baptist (2-4) fell to HBU fellow Southland  Conference member Abilene Christian, 101-61, Friday in Abilene. Phil Carey led the Saints with 21 points and seven rebounds, while Adam Morales and Chris Hobgood each scored six.

HBU will be on the road again this coming weekend when it plays UT Arlington Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Arlington.
