Match NotesLive StatsHOUSTON – HBU will look for redemption Saturday when the Huskies host Incarnate Word in a WAC contest at 7 pm at Sorrels Field.
The Huskies and Cardinals are meeting for the second time in eight days. UIW lead the all-time series, 4-2-0, and defeated the Huskies, 3-0, Oct. 3 in San Antonio.
Friday night was the conference opener for both teams. UIW scored two goals in the first half and added an insurance tally in the second half.
Stefan Lamanna took a team-high three shots for HBU (1-4-2 overall, 0-1-0 WAC).
Patrick Toh leads the team with four goals and nine points. Four different Huskies have two goals.
Thilo Borgmann has a team-best three assists, as he is second in points with seven.
Kevin Suarez has seen most of the action in goal and is 0-3-2 with a 2.39 goals-against average and a .711 save percentage.
Philip Poser is 1-1-0 with a 1.92 GAA, a .556 save percentage, and one shutout.
Noah Keats had a huge game for UIW (2-6-0 overall, 1-0-0 WAC) Friday, as he had two goals and one assist. His efforts earned him WAC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Keats leads the team with five goals and 12 points, as he and Dylan Kelly are tied for the team lead of two assists.
Kieran O'Boyle has seen most of the action between the pipes and is 2-5-0 with a 1.55 GAA, a .676 save percentage, and one shutout.
After Saturday's match, the Huskies head to the west coast to play at San José State (Friday, Oct. 17 at 9 pm central) and Bakersfield (Sunday, Oct. 19 at 3 pm central).
