HOUSTON - The HBU volleyball team returns home for a pair of Southland Conference matches and have many festivities planned for the Homecoming week homestand.

The Huskies face McNeese State as they hold their annual Dig Pink match on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. in Sharp Gym. The Dig Pink match will be supporting Breast Cancer Awareness. T-shirts will be sold during the match for $10.00 each and donations will also be accepted to help in the fight against breast cancer.

The Huskies (9-12, 4-3 SLC) are led by sophomore outside hitter
Jessica Wooten, sophomore setter
Kayla Armer, senior outside hitter
Megan McStravick and senior libero
Haley Hoffman. Wooten has recorded 272 kills and 199 digs for the season, while McStravick has 197 kills and 216 digs. Armer leads HBU with a total of 779 assists, and Hoffman has recorded 287 digs for the Huskies.

The Cowgirls (12-12, 2-6) are currently led by Amber Fry with 233 kills and Rachel Cagnina with 227 total kills. Kelly Graham leads McNeese with 846 total assists. The Cowgirls are led defensively by Malina Sanchez with 285 digs and Kimberlyn Patterson with 281 digs.

HBU will then host Nicholls (7-13, 3-4) on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Sharp Gym, prior to the HBU-Nicholls football game, which is at 7 p.m. Nicholls is currently led by Kaci Eaton with 284 kills. Ainsley Marroccoli leads the Colonels with 424 total assists and Kalynn Egea has 388 digs for the season.
