Russell hit 6-of-12 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line - including burying a couple of free throws with six seconds left to give the Huskies the lead for good - in a 72-71 win over Santa Clara on Dec. 21. He finished tied for the game high with 19 points, with 15 of those coming in the second half. That effort earned him Great West Conference Player of the Week. The Huskies have five players averaging double-figures in points, with Russell third, averaging 11.7 points a game.
