Mendoza led the Huskies to a 15th-place finish, as he finished in 47th place at the Division I South Central Regional Saturday in Waco, Texas. He clocked in at 32:39.9 on the 10,000-meter course. It was the first showing at an NCAA regional or championship event since HBU returned to NCAA Division I in 2007.
