Freshman linebacker Rodney Dansby made 18 tackles in the Huskies' season finale against No. 18 UIW Saturday. The Houston native finished tied for second nationally with 11.9 tackles per game, which led the Southland Conference. Dansby was also named one of the 23 finalists for the Jerry Rice Award, which honors the freshman player of the year in the Football Championship Subdivision.
