Senior Kaitlin Smith finished 13th in the heptathlon at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships to earn second-team All-America honors. The Wailuku, Hawai'i, native came into the championships ranked 22nd nationally, then closed out the meet with a PR in the 800 meters to finish with a total of 5,520 points.
