Perri won the 2011 Great West Conference Cross Country Championship on Oct. 29, helping the Huskies to a third-place finish. He clocked in at 25:12.66 and pulled away in the final 800 meters from second-place finisher, UTPA's Matthew Kotut to win his first-ever conference title. A four-time GWC Runner of the Week recipient, Perri was named GWC Male Athlete of the Year. He is the second runner in HBU history to win individual gold in cross country, as Daniel Martinez earned the honor in 2008.
