Senior catcher Heidi Jaquez helped the Huskies start the season with a 4-1 record, hitting .389 (7-for-18) with two doubles, seven RBIs and six runs. The Wharton, Texas, native went 2-for-4 and drove in five runs in a win over Alabama A&M, then went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and scored twice in a win over host Louisiana Tech.
