Junior quarterback Bailey Zappe broke his own school records for completions, attempts and touchdowns, going 43-for-59 for 498 yards and seven touchdowns, one shy of the Southland Conference record, in Saturday's 68-31 victory over Texas Southern. The Victoria, Texas, native leads the nation with 1,819 passing yards and 21 touchdowns and was named the FCS STATS National Offensive Player of the Week and the Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
