Sophomore linebacker Brennan Young led the Huskies defensively in Saturday's 48-21 victory over Northwestern State. The Conroe, Texas, native recorded nine tackles and had a pair of interceptions, only the second multi-interception game in program history. With the Demons driving deep into HBU territory in the second quarter and threatening to score for the first time, Young picked off a pass at the 2-yard line and returned it out to midfield. Late in the fourth quarter, NSU again drove into the red zone, but Young thwarted the drive with his second interception of the game, allowing HBU to run out most of the remaining clock. For his effort, Young was named Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
