Senior Tay Nance broke the school records in the long jump and triple jump at the Houston Invitational. The Cleveland, Texas, native broke her own school record in the triple jump by 10.5 inches with a mark of 12.49 meters (40 feet, 11.75 inches) to finish fourth Saturday. On Friday, Nance set the new long jump standard with a mark of 5.96 meters (19 feet, 6.75 inches) to finish first. She now holds the HBU indoor and outdoor records in both the long jump and triple jump.
