Sophomore outside hitter Mikayla Vivens posted a double-double in each match to lead the Huskies to a pair of huge road wins that got them back to .500 in the conference and overall. In Thursday’s five-set victory at Northwestern State, the San Antonio native recorded a career-high 25 kills, hitting .317, and adding 12 digs. In Saturday’s win at Southeastern Louisiana, Vivens posted 20 kills and 10 digs for her league-leading 20th double-double. She has registered at least 20 kills and a double-double in each of the last three matches. For her efforts, Vivens was named the Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
