Sophomore running back LaDarius Dickens returned three first half kickoffs for 186 yards and a touchdown in the Huskies’ 63-27 loss at SMU Saturday night in Dallas. The Rowlett, Texas, native took his last return 95 yards for a touchdown and the longest kick return in program history. His first return was a solid 27-yard effort, then he broke free for a 64 yard return to the SMU 33-yard line on his second. The Mustangs kicked away from him the rest of the night, including a pair of kicks that went out of bounds in the second half. Dickens earned Southland Conference Special Teams Player of the Week honors and is the Huskies’ all-time leader with a 26.1-yard kickoff return average.
