Senior outside hitter Bailey Banks averaged 5.00 kills and 2.70 digs per set to lead the Huskies to a 2-1 record in league play this week, including sweeps of Lamar and Stephen F. Austin at home. In Saturday’s victory over the Ladyjacks, Banks set the HBU three-set match record with 21 kills as she hit .333 and added an ace. The Missouri City, Texas, native hit .282 and posted 16 kills, three blocks and a pair of aces in a sweep of Lamar on Thursday. In Monday’s loss at Central Arkansas, Banks had 13 kills, three blocks and an ace. She nearly had a double-double in each match with nine digs in all three contests. Banks now has 995 kills and 917 digs for her career.
