Sophomore Lexi Brooks won the individual title in leading the women's golf team to its first Southland Conference Championship, earning the league's automatic qualifier to the NCAA Regionals. The Kingwood, Texas, native picked up her first career individual victory with a tournament record score of 3-under par 210, with rounds of 71, 69 and 70, to win by six strokes. Brooks leads the Huskies with a 74.93 scoring average. Also this week, Brooks was named to the Southland All-Conference Team for the second-straight year, this season as a first-team selection, following last season's second-team honor.
