Junior center Josh Ibarra led the Huskies to a 2-0 record this week, averaging 17 points and 9.5 rebounds to earn Southland Conference Player of the Week honors. In Thursday's win over Southeastern Louisiana, he went 7-for-9 from the field, scoring 16 points and grabbing eight rebounds. In Saturday's victory over McNeese, he posted a double-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots. For the season, the Angleton native is averaging 10.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
