Senior defender Kristi O'Brien led the Huskies to a 4-1 victory in the regular-season finale at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Friday night, clinching the No. 4 seed in this week's Southland Conference Tournament. O'Brien scored a pair of goals, her first career multi-goal performance, and was voted SLC Defensive Player of the Week. In the 29th minute, she blasted a free kick from 35 yards out into the back of the net, then two minutes later, from 40 yards out, buried another goal to give HBU a 3-0 lead. All three of her goals this season have been from 35-plus yards. The Huskies face No. 5 Southeastern Louisiana in the first round of the tournament Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Corpus Christi.
