Senior defender Kristi O’Brien provided the game-winner and the match’s only tally with a 50-yard bomb in the 51^st minute of a 1-0 victory in the conference opener against Incarnate Word Friday. O’Brien put a shot on goal from midfield which was tipped by the goalkeeper off the bottom of the crossbar and into the back of the net. O’Brien took her first two shots of the season, both on goal, in the match and also led the Huskies’ backline to a shutout of the Cardinals.
