Senior Garrison Fick broke his own school record in the decathlon by 224 points, accumulating 6,962 points at the Southland Conference Outdoor Championships over the weekend, earning the bronze medal. That mark ranks him 48th nationally and 31st in NCAA West. The Sugar Land, Texas, native set six personal records in the process: 100m (10.93), long jump (7.12m/23-4.50), 400m (48.51), 100m hurdles (15.52), pole vault (4.15m/17-7.25), and his toss of 46.28m/151-10.0 in the javelin beat his old PR by more than six meters.
