Senior forward Anna Strickland, a native of The Woodlands, Texas, had two dominating performances in helping HBU clinch the No. 5 seed in the upcoming Southland Conference Tournament. She scored 12 points and tied her career high of 20 rebounds as the Huskies completed the season sweep of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Thursday for the first time in program history. Strickland followed that with a 20-point, 21-rebound performance against Incarnate Word. For her efforts, Strickland earned Southland Conference Player of the Week accolades. Her block Thursday placed her third all-time with 118 career blocked shots. She is 4th nationally in rebounding and double-doubles and is in the Top-5 in the SLC in field-goal percentage, blocks, and steals, and is the only non-guard in the Top 10 in assists.
