Alvarez hit safely in all four games to open the season as the Huskies took 3-of-4 from Binghamton. He hit .429 (6-for-14) with a double, a home run, five RBIs, scored three times, posted a .714 slugging percentage and .529 on-base percentage. Alvarez singled in each of the first three games, then went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, three RBIs and two runs in the finale. He has reached safely in 13-straight games dating back to last season, hitting safely in 12 of those contests.
