Senior Garrison Fick broke his own school record in the heptathlon by more than 200 points at the University of Houston Indoor Invitational Friday and Saturday, finishing with 5,040 points. That mark puts him 48th nationally and fourth in the South Central Region. He entered Saturday as the leader thanks to first place finishes in the 60m dash (7.14, new personal record) and long jump (6.76m/22-2.25). Fick would end Friday setting another PR in the high jump (1.98m/6-6). On Saturday, Fick set another school record with a 3.90m/12-9.5 mark in the pole vault.
