Senior guard Anthony Odunsi averaged 20.5 points across games versus Rice and at Michigan to help the HBU men’s basketball team to a 1-1 record on the week. Against Rice, Odunsi finished 5-of-7 from the floor with a made 3-pointer to go along with a 15-for-16 showing at the charity stripe, as he scored a career-high 26 points. The 15 made free throws against the Owls, including a perfect 10-for-10 mark in the second half, is a career-high for the native of Sugar Land, Texas, and is the best showing by a Husky in a single game since the 2011-12 season when Marcus Davis finished 10-for-10 against Dallas Christian (12/10/11). At Michigan, Odunsi again led the Huskies in scoring, netting 15 points, shooting 6-for-10 from the floor and 3-for-3 from the line to extend his consecutive shots made at the charity stripe to his last 15 attempts.
