Junior setter Kayla Armer was named Marriott Houston Westchase Invitational MVP. She started all nine sets, totaling 96 assists (10.67 per set) and 11 kills on a .846 clip with zero errors. She also added four service aces. Armer captained the Huskies to three straight-set victories in their host invitational, downing Alcorn State, UT-Rio Grande Valley, and Louisiana Tech to win the tournament and mark the program's best set-start (nine consecutive set victories) to a season in the Division I era.
