Junior pitcher Laci Belovsky had a strong week, going 2-1 with two complete games, posting a 2.10 ERA and holding opponents to a .216 batting average. She tossed a three-hit shutout Wednesday against UTSA, tying her career high with eight strikeouts. It was her fourth complete-game shutout of the season. She followed that with another strong complete-game effort in game one's win over Central Arkansas, scattering five hits and allowing one run while striking out three. Despite having thrown 144 pitches in game one, she came on in relief in game two and allowed just two hits and one unearned run with three more strikeouts in 5.1 innings. Belovsky threw 372 pitches on the week and is third in the Southland Conference with four shutouts and seventh with 83 strikeouts.
