Senior centerfielder Zach Nehrir extended his hitting streak to seven games, and has multiple hits in his last five, as he led the Huskies to a series victory on the road at Lamar. In Friday's win, he went 3-for-5 with a run scored. In the first game of Sunday's doubleheader, Nehrir led off with an inside-the-park-home run and went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a run. In the finale, he was 2-for-4 with a double and was hit by a pitch. He reached safely nine times in 15 plate appearances in the series and also recorded his team-leading fourth outfield assist in the finale. Nehrir upped his batting average to a Southland Conference-leading .372 and now has seven doubles, five triples, a pair of home runs, and 31 RBIs, the latter ranks him third in the conference.
