Sophomore Taylor Thomas won the long jump to open the track and field season at the UH Indoor Opener Friday. Her second attempt of 5.68m/18-7.75 edged two University of Houston jumpers. Thomas was the 2014 Long Jump Silver Medalist at the Southland Conference Indoor Championships as a freshman and has picked up where she left off.
