Senior guard Tayler Jefferson scored a season-high 25 points in Wednesday's loss to cross-town rival Texas Southern, as she tied her career high of five 3-pointers made. She had a perfect first half, as she went 4-for-4 from the field and 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. In Friday's win over McMurry, Jefferson hit two more three-pointers, but it was her defensive play that was in the spotlight, as she had three rebounds and forced back-to-back steals to not allow McMurry to come back in the game. Jefferson had five assists in each contest, as she is third in the conference with 4.7 helpers per game.
