Guzman broke two school records at the Southland Conference Championships in Conway, Ark. He broke the 110-meter hurdles record in the preliminaries with a time of 14.55, beating the old mark of 14.71, and finished fourth in the final with a wind-aided time of 14.51.

He later ran a 53.41 in the preliminaries of the 400-meter hurdles, chopping more than a second off of his own school record from earlier in the season. He finished fifth in the final at 53.81.
