Lower allowed two runs on nine hits, as he struck out two and walked one in eight solid innings, as HBU dealt Kansas its first loss of the season, 4-2, in the first game of a doubleheader March 1. Lower has not lost in 11 consecutive starts and leads the pitching staff with a 1.89 ERA on the season, with 11 strikeouts and just one walk.
