Thompson had a huge defensive day in the Huskies' 49-7 romp over Texas College Saturday. The defensive back had two interceptions - including a 46-yard pick-six for the Huskies' second score of the evening - a fumble recovery, and two tackles. For his efforts, Thompson was named CFPA National Defensive Player of the Week.
