Luke Clements was named Most Valuable Player at the Great West Conference Tournament, after going 6-for-13 (.462) in four games, with three RBI, eight runs scored, a triple, and two home runs. He went 2-for-3 with an RBI, three runs scored, and a homer in the Huskies' 11-6 win over tournament host NJIT on May 21 to start the tournament. Clements hit his sixth homer of the season in the next game, a 3-1 win over second-seed UT-Pan American. After going 2-for-5 with two runs in an 8-4 win over North Dakota, Clements went 1-for-3 with an RBI, a run scored and a triple in the championship-clinching 13-3 win over top-seed Northern Colorado.
