Sophomore Preston Stanley led HBU at the America Sky Conference championships by finishing second overall with a 2-under par 214. He finished Wednesday's final round with a 70. He was 3-under after birdies at three, six, and seven, and made 10-straight pars to lead by one stroke heading to the 18th hole. Stanley's lone birdie in the round came on the final hole, while Sacramento State's Jordan Weir made birdie to win the individual championship. The Huskies as a team trailed by one stroke heading to Wednesday's final round, but shot a 1-over par 289 for a 54-hole finish of 871, three better than second place Southern Utah. The Huskies earn the automatic bid and is the first appearance in the NCAAs since the school's return to NCAA Division I in 2007.
