Mendoza clocked 4:15.6 for his mile anchor leg as the Huskies won the distance medley relay in 10:16.67, almost two seconds ahead of the second-place team, on Friday at the UH Indoor Invitational. On Saturday, Mendoza knocked more than 10 seconds off his life-time best to clock 8:24.96 and win the 3000 meters.
