Ariens claimed the individual championship as he led HBU to a first-place finish at their home tournament, the HBU Husky Invitational. The Huskies posted the lowest 18-hole and 54-hole team scores since the resurrection of the program in 2008. The Huskies shot 287 in the first round, 283 in the second, and a record 268 on the final round for a 33-stroke victory. Ariens shot a 71 in the first round, then followed that with a 68 second round and a 6-under par 65 third round for a total of 8-under par 205 for the win. His 65, which was matched by teammate Preston Stanley, tied the course record at Quail Valley Golf Club and are the lowest individual rounds since the programs resurgence. Ariens was named America Sky Conference Golfer of the Week for his efforts.
