Gaines repeats as HBU Female Athlete of the Week as she set history last week, becoming the first Husky athlete to qualify for NCAA post season competition since the 1980s. In the preliminaries in Austin, she missed advancing to the quarterfinals by .03 of a second. She finished the 100 meter race sixth in her heat and 29th overall, clocking in at 11.66.
