Gonzalez made two appearances for the Huskies during the weekend series at NYIT, going 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA, one save, nine strikeouts, and two walks. In Friday's extra-inning victory, Gonzalez earned the win, shutting out the Bears on one hit and striking out eight in just 3.1 innings. In Sunday's 2-1 victory in the series finale, he pitched the final two-thirds of an inning and recorded a strikeout for the final out to record his team-leading fourth save of the season. Nine of the 12 outs he recorded were via strikeout. At the plate last week, Gonzalez drove in five runs, scored three, and had a pair of doubles to move into sixth place on HBU's all-time list with 40.
