Jessica Wooten recorded 13 kills to lead to the Huskies to their 3-0 (26-24, 25-20, 25-21) victory over Nicholls State Tuesday night.

Kayla Mashburn led Nicholls State with 12 kills. Marlee Bean had 17 assists, while Alyse Barclay had 13 assists for the Colonels. Kalynn Egea had 18 digs for Nicholls State.
The Huskies outhit the Colonels 46-35. They also outdug Nicholls State by three digs. HBU outblocked Nicholls State 6-2.
The Huskies return to action at home for the next two games. They will play Abiline Christian Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. in Sharp Gym, and then face Incarnate Word Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. in Sharp Gym.
