Ricky Thompson

In 1983, Thompson was an All-American for the Huskies. That same year he cleared seven feet and five and a quarter inches at the NCAA Championships to win the NCAA High Jump Championship, and became the first NCAA National Champion in the University’s history. That mark gave him the school record for the high jump. He was the first qualifier ever in school history.
