Spies was a two-time All-American for the Huskies, an Academic All-Region/District/Conference in 1997, the Sectional Player of the Year in 1999, and the RRAC Player of the Year in 1999. In the 1999 season, she had 65 hits with 16 of them being doubles, and 13 being home runs. She also had 50 runs scored, 55 runs batted in, and 25 base on balls. Spies has the third most hits in a career with 212, has the sixth most runs scored in a career with 131, has the most doubles in a career with 56, tied for the fourth most career home runs with 24, sixth in career base on balls with 63, first in career runs batted in with 170, tied for fourth in career at bats with 596, and is tied for fifth for the most games played in a career with 207.
